I am new to the blogger community too. I also teach middle school, but math. I love science though. My masters is in Natural Science and Environmental Education.
I was seriously debating putting Blurred LInes as what I was currently listening to, too! Such a good song! I absolutely LOVE Pharrell!
Nice to "meet" you!
I am going to follow you on Blogloving to make sure I do not miss anything! Cheers, jameson Lessonswithcoffee.blogspot.com
It's nice to "meet" you too! Science is my passion, although I usually teach another subject with it. Most of the time it's social studies, but this year I'm teaching Language Arts and two years ago I taught math.
I agree with you, Blurred Lines is so catchy, I can't get it out of my head.
Anyway, I'm going to start following you on Bloglovin as well!
Thanks for contacting me : Erica marshallinthemiddle.blogspot.com
I was asked if I wanted to do that as I have a SS middle level license as well, but I chose to stick with just math. This year though i will have 2 preps, but 3 groups of students as I have the blocked math-to-enrichment. I LOVE science though, I have a STEM certificate for elementary and miss teaching it!
I am following you on Bloglovin so don't become a stranger! Jameson Lessons With Coffee
I understanding wanting to stick with just math, switching subjects every year along with science can get a little challenging at times. At least I always have a constant with teaching science which I love. Actually, my license in Ohio is a little different because I'm certified to teach science and social studies in grades 4-9 but I also have a generalist endorsement and can teach all subjects in grades 4-6. This year I'm teaching 4 sections of science and one section of language arts.
Found you as my linky partner on Farley's blog. Beautiful design btw - clearly we have great taste :)
I completely agree about not having enough time, although at the moment I'm more concerned with getting displays and crafty ideas rather than plans as it's my end of year. Have I got my priorities all wrong?!
Super glad I stumbled on your lovely blog - bloglovin here I come!
It's good to hear from you. We do have great taste :) I love your blog design!
I don't think you have your priorities wrong at all! I have so many things to make for my classroom that my lesson plans are going to go on the back burner for the next few weeks. In a way, you can say I'm just as bad as you. I have a over page long list of things that I need to accomplish in the next few weeks before the school year begins and not enough time during my work day.
You mentioned that it's the end of your year. What months are you in school?
I noticed on your blog that we are actually both starting our sixth year of teaching and I'm actually switching grade levels this year from fifth to sixth, so I'm sure I'll go through a little bit of an adjustment period at the beginning of the school year.
Anyways, thanks for contacting me! :) I've started following you on bloglovin'.
Erica!
